What happens to your data
What gets deleted
- Your account and sign-in
- Your business details, logo and rates
- Your clients, quotes, invoices and payment records
- The PDFs stored for your quotes and invoices
Deletion is permanent and can’t be undone. Copies in our database backups are removed as the backups expire: up to 7 days. Uploaded files (logos and PDFs) aren’t kept in backups.
What we keep, and for how long
| What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| A keyed hash of your Google account ID and an app-generated device ID | With no link to you, only to stop repeat free trials. | Indefinitely |
| A log of account events (for example “invoice sent” or “payment recorded”, with amounts), no longer linked to your account | A record of what happened, for security and fraud checks. | Indefinitely |
| If you used a referral code: the code and when it was used, no longer linked to your account | To settle referral payouts with our partners. | Indefinitely |
Keep your records first
Tax rules in Australia, New Zealand and the UK require businesses to keep their records, including invoices, for several years. Deleting your account removes your quotes and invoices from QuoteTradie for good. Before you delete, open each invoice you need and tap PDF → Save a copy — for example to Google Drive or your email.
Paying through Google Play? Deleting your account (or uninstalling the app) doesn’t cancel your subscription. To cancel: open your subscriptions in Google Play, select QuoteTradie, tap Cancel subscription and follow the instructions.
